Aircraft Painting for North Carolina Owners

Chesapeake sits just above the state line — for most of eastern North Carolina, KPVG is closer than paint shops in your own state.

Our aircraft painting facility is located at Hampton Roads Executive Airport (KPVG) in Chesapeake, Virginia. We serve aircraft owners from North Carolina by appointment at our Chesapeake facility — we do not maintain a paint facility in North Carolina.

The geography works in your favor

From Elizabeth City (KECG) the flight to KPVG is about 15 minutes. From the Outer Banks (KFFA, KMQI) or Edenton, well under half an hour. Rocky Mount, Greenville, and Goldsboro are all inside an hour. Even from the Raleigh–Durham area, KPVG is a straightforward VFR leg up the coastal plain.

North Carolina has a huge general aviation population and comparatively few dedicated paint options — many NC owners already fly farther than Chesapeake for exterior work without realizing what sits just across the line.

Crossing a state line is not a complication

There is nothing special about painting an aircraft out of state — owners do it constantly. Your project starts online or by phone, scope and design are agreed before you launch, and the aircraft repositions to KPVG when its production slot is ready.

How far is KPVG from eastern North Carolina?

About 15 flying minutes from Elizabeth City, under 30 from the Outer Banks and the Albemarle region, and about an hour from Raleigh-area fields.

Do you serve NC customers differently?

No — same process, same pricing approach, same facility. The only difference is your heading on the flight up.

Let's see what your airplane would cost.

Tell us what you fly, what the paint looks like now, and what you want it to look like when we're finished. It takes about a minute.
