Piston twins — Barons, Senecas, Aztecs, 310s, Twin Comanches — suffer the paint-quote problem worst of all. The market values of many legacy twins have compressed while boutique paint pricing has not, leaving owners of perfectly good airplanes flying around in finishes from another decade.
A twin is more aircraft: more surface area, more masking, nacelles, and more detail work. It prices above a comparable single, and we will always be straight about that. What it does not require is a bespoke-studio premium on top of the honest labor difference.
